ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, Federal Government increased the prices of Petrol and Diesel across Pakistan. Price of Petrol was increased to Rs. 458.40 per litre from 322 Per Litre while Price of High Speed Diesel was fixed at Rs. 520.35 per litre. Speaking during a press conference alongside the Minister of Finance, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik announced this increase of about 138 per litre in Petrol Prices and 184 per litre in Diesel Prices.
As per Minister, increase was due to sharp hike in Global Oil Prices which have risen to the level of around US$110 per barrel, owing to war situation and closure of straight of Hurmuz.
