Third event in the series brings Pakistani technology firms and U.S. industry leaders together to explore opportunities in AI, fintech, cloud computing and digital transformation
WASHINGTON, October 24, 2026: Pakistan and the United States are seeking to expand technology-driven economic cooperation, with the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., hosting the third event of the ongoing Pakistan–U.S. Tech Connect 2026 series to promote business partnerships, investment and commercial collaboration between the two countries.
The event brought together leading Pakistani technology companies and U.S. industry representatives to explore opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, financial technology (fintech), digital transformation and other emerging technologies.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, stressed the need to broaden bilateral engagement beyond traditional security cooperation and place information technology at the centre of mutually beneficial economic relations.
He described the shift as moving Pakistan–U.S. relations “from CT to IT”, referring to a transition from counterterrorism to information technology, and underscored the potential of technology cooperation to create new avenues for commercial engagement.
Governor of Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi, who also attended the event, highlighted the importance of converting Pakistan’s technological capabilities into concrete business opportunities, strategic partnerships and high-value contracts with U.S. enterprises.
The ambassador also called on American businesses to explore Pakistan’s technology sector, highlighting the country’s skilled workforce and growing technological capabilities. Inviting U.S. companies to tap into these opportunities, he said, “profit from the promise of Pakistan.”
“Come for price and you will stay for quality,” the ambassador added, emphasising Pakistan’s value proposition for international technology businesses.
The event featured company presentations, panel discussions and business-to-business (B2B) engagements aimed at connecting technology firms, encouraging investment and fostering innovation. The discussions focused on developing sustainable commercial partnerships and identifying opportunities for collaboration in emerging technology segments.
The Pakistan–U.S. Tech Connect 2026 series is intended to strengthen commercial linkages between technology companies in both countries. By facilitating direct engagement between Pakistani firms and U.S. industry leaders, the initiative seeks to translate Pakistan’s technology expertise into cross-border business opportunities and expand its participation in international technology markets.
