Karachi: As per data of State Bank of Pakistan, worker remittances during first seven months of FY 2026 showed 11% Year on Year Growth reaching US$ 23.2 Billion. During the month of January 2026, Pakistan received US$ 3.5 Billion as foreign remittances compared with US$ 3 Billion showing a healthy growth of 15%.
Foreign remittances play a critical stabilizing and growth-supporting role in Pakistan’s economy and act as a lifeline for growth of foreign exchange reserves held with Central Bank, support households, and ease pressure on the government and banking system.
