Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday announced a Rs38 billion Ramazan Relief Package 2026 to help poor and low-income families across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Under this program, about 12 million households will be getting Rs13,000 per family during Ramazan. The amount will be disbursed through digital wallets or bank accounts, according to the government sources.
While speaking at the launch event, the prime minister said the government is facing financial and budgetary constraints, but despite of difficulties, Rs38 billion has been set aside for this relief package.
Prime Minister added that the money will be given directly to people living in all four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
He also said that the stipend budget has been increased to Rs10 billion to support more people.
