Islamabad: Government of Pakistan has fixed Nasab of Zakat for Year 1446-1447 A.H at Rs. 503,529 (Rupees five hundred three thousand five hundred twenty nine only). Accordingly, Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety vide its notification dated February 16, 2026, has convened the instructions for deduction of Zakat to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other Zakat Collection Controlling Agencies.
Accordingly, all Banks in Pakistan will be deducting Zakat on Profit bearing accounts maintained by their customers at the Rate of 2.5%. The First day of Ramazan ul Mubarik has been notified as deduction date according to official notification which is likely to fall on 19th or 20th February 2026.
As per Instructions the deducted amount shall be deposited immediately in the Central Zakat Account fund. A copy of return in Form CZ-08 (A & B) may kindly be furnished to this ministry immediately after deposit of the Zakat amount.
