Karachi: On Wednesday, 25th February 2026, National Bank of Pakistan announced its Financial Results for the Year ended on 31st December 2025. Bank’s Profit before taxation remained Rs. 178.9 Billion as of 31st Dec 2025 compared to Profit of Rs. 56.67 Billion for Year 2024, indicating a healthy growth of around 216%. Bank’s Earnings per share jumped to Rs. 40.38 compared to Rs. 12.63 for Year 2024. The Board of Directors of Bank, approved a Final Cash dividend of Rs. 35 Per share (i.e. 350%), subject to approval of Government of Pakistan under Section 17 of Banks Nationalization Act.
Bank’s total assets crossed Rs. 7 trillion and remained at Rs. 7.06 trillion compared with Rs. 6.7 trillion for Year 2024, while deposits of the bank posted a healthy increase of Rs. 564 Billion.
Such a healthy financial performance indicates strong earnings of the bank and reflects continued balance sheet expansion. Government of Pakistan is the majority shareholder of bank and such a strong cash dividend of Rs. 35 per share will significantly boost the non tax revenues for Government of Pakistan.
